Indoreans stylishly brave the muck with monsoon footwear

The monsoon showers have begun and while many might fret about spoiling their favourite pair of footwear, Indoreans are smartly selecting their picks. From colourful beads to bright waterproof loafers, who says monsoon fashion is boring? Here's a guide to where Indoreans can buy monsoon footwear and what they can stylishly sport, as they brave the season to work or college.
Colourful flip-flops
Flip flops are suitable both for girls and boys. These monsoon solutions are easily available in the market or online. Sunil Patel, a college student, who recently purchased a pair of flip flops from the Bambai Bazaar area, says, "There are a lot of colourful rubber flip flops available in the local market. They are washable and can be cleaned easily. These flip flops look great with causal outfits."
Sandals with straps and Ballerina shoes for girls
Fashion enthusiast Prishita Gupta shares, "Flip flops in shades of pink, purple and blue with flower detailing are much in vogue this season but if you choose to walk a lot in monsoon, wearing flip flops won't be a great idea as you might end up splashing dirt on your feet. Sandals with straps that keep your feet clean are must-haves in that case. If you are looking for low-on-pocket options then plastic sandals and shoes are great monsoon wears. They are best to be sported in heavy rains. Light weight with translucent detailing make them super chick. A lot of other footwear with translucent detailing in wedges and kitten heels are also raging the monsoon fashion essential list." Ballerina shoes will help you do the needful to brave the muck this season as well. "Rubber or lycra ballerina shoes are a hit among students. Girls have been thronging my store for ballerina shoes. These shoes are super comfortable and can go with any dress, shorts, one piece, skirts, denims and jump suits," shares Sonam Shukla, an apparel and footwear house owner in Apollo Tower.
Slip-ons and sneaker like pumps with buckle detailing for boys
Slip-ons in rubber material in dark colours go perfect with any outfit in monsoon for boys. Danish Khan, who purchased a pair of Slip-ons for `300, shares, "Slip-ons are great to wear in college. They add a subtle style statement to your casual outfits. The lace-up design gives it an interesting look and can be teamed up with jog pants and sportswear." Shoes that look like leather, but are made of rubber or plastic, are ideal for the monsoon."

Also pumps with buckle detailing have become very popular amongst young men this season. Nikhar Agarwal, an MBA student, says, "Pumps with buckle detailing modernize your work attire. I am interning with an organization where I need to wear formals. Pumps give a formal outfit an edge. The buckles can be adjusted according to one's need, colours in dark blue and black go with almost all outfits. I believe half the perfect apparel battle is already won if you make the right shoe choice."
