Nike Partners Flex to Boost Footwear Manufacturing Process

Athletic apparel, footwear and accessories retailer, NIKE Inc.
NKE  has recently teamed up with Flextronics International Ltd.

FLEX
a top-notch global manufacturer, to accelerate its vision of bringing superior modernization to its manufacturing supply chain.

Both the companies will work together to deliver footwear innovation, which will facilitate faster delivery of products to consumers. Even tailor made products are expected to reach customers faster with the abovementioned manufacturing modernization process.

We note that Nike has been developing new technologies to boost its manufacturing business model over the past few years. The company has made investments in mechanization, modernization, sustainability, and other innovative manufacturing techniques. Nike believes Flex's proven proficiency in design, engineering and manufacturing in industries like automotive, medical and consumer electronics will make it an ideal partner and help the former to transform its footwear manufacturing process.

Nike is the leader in the U.S. footwear and athletic apparel industry. The company's strong portfolio of globally recognized brands, Nike, Converse, Chuck Taylor, Hurley, All Star, One Star, Star Chevron, and Jack Purcell, along with its focus on innovation, has helped to further strengthen its leadership position.

Furthermore, the company continues to seek opportunities for increasing its global footprint, popularity and market share. In the process, over the years it has acquired well-known brands such as Converse, Hurley and others. The company has been increasing its popularity by acquiring contracts to supply sports-related apparel, shoes, etc., to renowned teams and sports associations. Another major tool used by Nike to broaden its ambit is the development of its eCommerce and direct-to-consumer business model.

We are encouraged by this strategic move of Nike and expect this endeavor to significantly boost the company's performance in the days to come.
