A guard was injured in a massive fire that broke out in a shoe factory in Sector-60 Noida on wee hours of Monday. However the intensity of the blast was such that it shattered the windows of several nearby factories and even disintegrated the boundary wall of the factory.

More than 12 fire tenders were rushed to douse the fire which gutted the factory. The incident happened around 2:30pm according to an eyewitness and fire tenders reached the spot within 15 minutes. However, no worker was inside the factory when the fire broke out.
I was doing my night shift and was shaken due to the sudden blast. It was so severe that it broke the windows of the nearby factories as well. Everyone came running out clueless of what had happened,” recalls Anirudh Kumar Singh, a security guard in the area.
