Band of Outsiders Debut Footwear for Resort 2015
In regards to pricing, the shoes range from $295 for the brand's loafer slides to $695 for leather boots with each style carrying the phrase, "This is a Band of Outsiders shoe," according to Fashionista.
Scott Sternberg, founder of Band of Outsiders, spoke to Style.com at the time of the brand's fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection, which showcased a classic oxford shoe with Sternberg's own twist, about how he wanted to "fill out a woman's wardrobe, [with] things she'll actually use."
Hence, this next step by the brand seems like a logical move.
Although the resort 2015 collection showcases shoes solely by Band of Outsiders, it's important to take a look at some of their past collaborations, which were sure to have influenced the brand.
Band of Outsiders had teamed up with Sperry Top-Sider on a updated spin on the classic boat shoe and Manolo Blahnik in 2009 for their women's runway show.
At the time, Teen Vogue commented on the shoes of Sternberg and Blahnik as "sporty footwear- a Converse-inspired collaboration between Boy [by Band of Outsiders] and Manolo Blahnik."
As for the brand's newest collection, here's how WWD highlighted the new shoe collection, "Everything was cut with ease and grounded on the new, full range of Band of Outsiders shoes, which included suede ankle booties and penny-loafer shower slides."
Yep, we are sure you are as excited as we are.
Of course, in case you can't wait until November, one highlight that should tide you over is the brand's new store, which is set to open in New York City's SoHo in mid-July.
Sternberg spoke with Fashionista on the store.
The store will be "pure awesome" and will be a platform for "everything we do," including items you cannot find anywhere else. "It will be a little Band of Outsiders playground."
