Suncorp to retail Italian brand Gas Footwear through 198 outlets in South India
Announcing the foray into the South Indian market through Kochi Mr Rajiv Uppal, CEO of Suncorp said that the product would be sold through 45 outlets. The company will venture into other South Indian markets by October.
Suncorp has targeted revenue of Rs 50 crore from the country in the first year. For this the company has drawn up a plan to sell the Gas footwear through 800 outlets.
The market is growing at a rate of 15% to 20%. Gas footwear collection for men targets the mid to high end segment consumers. Mr Rajiv Uppal said that the domestic footwear market is expected to touch a size of Rs 47,000 crore by 2025.
