DIPP considering to relax sourcing norms for global retailers


The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) may consider tweaking of sourcing norms for global retailers to set up shop in India in the wake of IKEA seeking further relaxation of mandatory conditions.
"The issues raised by IKEA are practical in nature. We have to look at it to the extent possible. We have to address these issues in general," a senior DIPP official told.
